Product overview
Permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) utilize permanent magnets to provide the magnetic field required for electromechanical energy conversion, eliminating the need for an excitation power supply. During synchronous operation, the rotor carries almost no current, resulting in negligible rotor copper losses and a significantly improved power factor compared to asynchronous motors. The reactive current in the stator windings is reduced, lowering stator copper losses. Under the same conditions, PMSMs exhibit higher efficiency than asynchronous motors, with actual operating currents reduced by over 15%. The temperature rise is approximately 20K lower than that of three-phase asynchronous motors with the same power and speed, while the power factor reaches 0.96 or higher. The rated efficiency is 1%–8% or more higher than that of three-phase asynchronous motors, meeting or exceeding the Grade 1 efficiency standards specified in GB30253-2013 "Energy Efficiency Limits and Grades for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors."
